ASPIRING ENTREPRENEUR

Even though I have yet to declare a major or decide what specific job I want to pursue in the future, I do know I want to work hard and be very successful at whatever I choose. Currently, I want to go into business, and more specifically consulting with a large firm. Through this I want to meet different people and experience new and exciting adventures.
FUTURE AMBITIONS

TASTES, VALUES, AND PREFERENCES
Growing up, I've learned the importance of having values. One major value I have acquired is working hard. Accomplishing a goal on your own is much more satisfying than having it handed to you. I also value helping others who are unable to help themselves. Overall, it is essential to me to not only hold myself to high standards and values, but to also surround myself with others who hold high values as well.

KARATE
For over 10 years, karate was my passion. I not only participated in classes, but I also competed in New York, and Connecticut. From starting karate at the age of 4, I learned the importance of self discipline and hard work. Eventually I began assisting the instructors in karate and teaching younger kids. Karate instilled in me character and dedication.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS CLUB
In my sophomore year of high school, I realized that there was no club supporting the troops who fight for our country. Therefore, my friend and I co-founded a club that raised awareness and fundraised for soldiers and veterans. From this club I learned how to create something new and grow it. Our first year we only raised $500 but in my final year as president we raised over $2,500. I also learned how to work with my school's administration to accomplish my goals.

MOCK TRIAL
In my four years of high school, I was on and competed with the mock trial team. From this experience I not only learned case law, but also how to think quickly and critically. I learned how to work on a team and accomplish a common goal. In my final year of competing in mock trial, I was appointed the captain of the team. This was not only an honor but a wonderful learning experience. I learned how to be a leader, and also how to help others by assisting younger team members.
PASSIONS, INTERESTS, AND HOBBIES

KNOWLEDGE FROM LIFE
Even though knowledge gained from education is extremely valuable, I believe the most crucial knowledge one gains is from life experiences. Even though I am only 18 I have already learned so many critical skills. One thing I learned is the importance of treating anyone you encounter with decency and respect. I have also learned how to figure things out for myself using trial and error.

KNOWLEDGE FROM JOBS
For the past three years I have been a counselor at a day camp for preschool children. Personally, I work with children between the ages of 3-4. Although I wish to pursue a different career in the future, my summer job has taught me many life lessons. As a result of my experience, I have learned to care for others and the importance of patience. I have also gained the knowledge of working with clients (in this case parents) in order to meet their wants and their needs. Most importantly I have learned the importance of being a reliable employee. If I had not shown up to work everyday and ready to complete my job to the best of my ability I would not have been asked back for three years in a row.

Prior Knowledge and Education
I have grown up and am currently living in Baltimore, Maryland. I attended the Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community High school, and then I continued my education at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I am currently a freshman at Muhlenberg College and I am interested in pursuing a career in the business world. I gained a lot of knowledge from Beth Tfiloh, both academically and socially, and will continue to grow and gain knowledge from Muhlenberg college. I have learned that with hard work and determination, I can accomplish anything.
